Frederick E. Hoey | Fred E. Hoey was born December 4, 1919, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hoey of 418 Burlington Avenue in Delanco. The Hoey family was active at First Presbyterian Church in Delanco. Fred enlisted in the US Army on January 27, 1942 in Fort Dix and was assigned to the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division as a PFC. He married Edith Gilette Haines on November 1, 1942. He was Killed in Action in France on October 31, 1944. He was initially buried in France then repatriated and buried in Beverly National Cemetery.
